NATO Army Armaments Group (NAAG) / Groupe OTAN Sur l' Armement des Forces Terrestres (NAAG)
The NATO Army Armaments Group (AC/225-NAAG) is one of the three Main Armaments Groups (MAG) subordinate to NATO's Conference of National Armaments Directors (CNAD).
The mission of
the NAAG is to support nations achieving the objectives of
NATO
Land
Forces'
armaments cooperation
to ensure SACEUR has the capabilities necessary to fight and win wars.
Through the NAAG’s formal and informal subordinate
groups, the NAAG promotes interoperability of Alliance, as well as
Partner, Armed Forces by means of information exchange, materiel
standardization, and cooperative activities.
NAAG meets twice a year, normally in Summer (June) and in Winter (December or January) at NATO Headquarters in Brussels. Senior National Representatives - with their supporting National Delegations, representatives of NATO Military Authorities, representatives of other related NATO and external bodies and, when appropriate, Chairmen of Subordinate Groups participate.
